You Are Why We Do What We Do

How you helped Blessingvh Art become a reality

It is amazing seeing all of the fellow Peace Doves decorating their homes with paintings and sculptures from Blessingvh Art. It brings a massive smile to my face knowing the amount of people who support eco-friendly businesses.

Before I created Blessingvh Art, I was obsessed with creating art out of things that people didn't want. Other artists always threw away beautiful objects, such as cardboard, because they didn't see potential in them.

Then one day when I was in college, I was struggling with ideas for my art show. That's when I looked at all of the "junk" I've collected and vowed to create extraordinary pieces out of leftovers so that everyone can see the beauty out of nature.

I was concerned that people wouldn’t be interested in art made from leftovers because art has a stigma of always being made from the most premium resources.

But then...

After I sold a multitude of wooden tree circle necklaces at my very first craft fair, I realized that people do appreciate the thought process of using nature to create fabulous art.

I decided I set out to create the most magical paintings and sculptures for the most environmentally conscious collectors in the world.

It turns out...

The road was more difficult than I imagined.

Creating sculptures was difficult as my best skill is painting.

I spent months...

taking my 2D ideas and bringing them to life on a 3D surface.

I discovered sculptures that used the bas relief method of creation. While those works were done with marble and clay, I took that concept and applied it to cardboard.

Due to me suffering from a personal illness...

I was worried no one would buy my products. I had to take a break from my business for several months due to health reasons. I worried that I wouldn’t be able to make that killer product that makes people press that buy button.

Through it all, we released our first products and the response has been epic.

The best part?

Other artists are now asking me for advice on their businesses. While I’m still at the beginning stages, I enjoy providing tips and guiding them in the right direction.
